Draft. Kinovi is in a small, invite-only test. A privacy lawyer reviews these pages before Kinovi opens to everyone. Words marked in yellow are not final yet.
Contact
- Privacy and safety: Kinovi Privacy Team, privacy@kinovi.kids, postal address coming soon, phone coming soon
- Security problems: security@kinovi.kids
Laws we follow
| Law | What it means for Kinovi |
|---|---|
| COPPA (US, children under 13) | Parent consent, a clear notice, parent rights, a security program and a retention policy |
| California Age-Appropriate Design Code | High-privacy defaults and tools for kids and parents |
| New York Child Data Protection Act | No selling of data. Opt-in for teens. |
| State AI companion laws | Kinovi is a building tool, not a companion. We follow the same ideas anyway: say "I'm AI", no adult content, no manipulative design. |
| Other state minors' privacy laws | High-privacy defaults and keeping only what we need |
| State breach notice laws | We tell people quickly after a breach |
Outside the US
At launch, Kinovi is for families in the United States (US only at launch). We plan to support the UK Children's Code and the EU GDPR later.
Our age range
Kinovi is for ages 6 to 13. A 13-year-old counts as a teen under some state laws, so teen rules apply to them too.
